“Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.” (Acts 2:36).
“How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.” (Ephesians 3:3-8).
Who is Christ? The word Christ comes from the Greek word “Christos”, which is translated as the anointed one or the anointing. Christ is not the surname of Jesus, but is a revelation of His nature through the Church.
The mystery of Christ is more than just the revelation of the name Jesus, and who He is, but it is also the revelation of His Body (the Church). In Jesus name we are baptized by immersion into the Body of Christ. Baptism is an eternal process that seals our salvation and brings us into the fellowship of the Body of Jesus Christ.
Christ is Jesus, yet there is greater mystery and revelation in the person of Christ that we must walk in as sons in the Kingdom of God.
“God has put everything under the control of Christ. He has made Christ the head of everything for the good of the church. The church is Christ’s body and completes him as he fills everything in every way.”
(Ephesians 1:22-23 – God’s Word Translation).
As we comprehend the mystery of Christ [the deeper wisdom and revelation] and declare the unsearchable riches of His wisdom and knowledge, we will begin to see principalities and powers fall. God’s goal is to fully displace the principalities and powers in the heavenly realm by the Church (The Man Child, matured sons) and replace them with His Church.
